Ever wanted to learn about the Battle of Gettysburg from a civilian’s perspective? The Shriver House Museum will provide you with just that. Built in 1860 with a saloon and ten-pin bowling alley, it has been faithfully restored to its original condition as it appeared during the 1863 engagement. Occupied by Confederate sharpshooters during the battle, two were killed inside the house. During the tour you will learn about how the Shriver family was affected by the conflict.
